my dead bolt is currently disassembled and I am having issues getting it back in the door and in working order. The issue is with the actaully dead bolt piece its self. It doesn't slide freely and when I can get it to the point I think its assembled correctly and put it back in the door I can't get it slide freely.

Schlage make multiple models of deadbolts. Which model is yours? can you post a pic?
