I have what appears to be a horizontal hairline crack that runs almost the entire length in the drywall tape on the ceiling of an upstairs bedroom of our cape cod house (slanted ceiling). The ceiling is painted with textured paint, so it's barely visible (but I can see it). I am getting ready to repaint the room, and am wondering how to properly fix it. Can I just put spackling along the crack (it's so small you barely fit your fingernail in it) and repaint, or does the tape have to be removed and redone? Thanks for any help!

Hard to say from here but unless the tape appears to be loose, I'd spackle, prime and paint and hope for the best:D
