I bought a new Tecumseh HM100-159473R. It has a 5/3 Amp stator with a 12 volt starter. I want to put this on the kids go kart and run lights. It has three wires. GREEN is going to a kill switch. one RED and one YELLOW. This is where im stumped.
One goes to the battery and one to the lights.
I want to run the lights off the battery but, dont know what wire charges the battery. I dont want to fry the stator.
Thanks for any help.

The red wire is 3 amp DC to charge the battery. The yellow wire is 5 amp AC.
