model 110-95876400 gas dryer. the venting is clean. i have a digital remote bulb thermometer and the dryer only gets up to 100-114 degrees. the clothes are taking a long time to dry. Does anyone know what the operating temperature of these units are? Is it the radiant sensor that regulates the temperature? I 'm a refrigeration service tech by trade and can fix these things but want some prelim before tearing it apart.

Hello Geno40. Welcome to the Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
A few considerations needed (IMO) before you begin "tearing it apart."
The moisture sensor, for the most part, controls the drying time. Not only the temperature, etc. If the temp where to warm or to hot, the clothes would dry faster granted but they would also likely shrink.... So your assumption of a long dry time may not be accurate.
What is the dry time specifically???? For clothes versus towels, etc.
How wet are the clothes when the washer stops spinning. There could be or maybe to much moisture in the clothing when the washer completes its final spin cycle. That would drastically increase drying times.
How many items are being dried at one time. (???) Another factor that effects drying times.
Clothes dry faster then towels usually. Therefore, what is being dried and have many items also effect dry times.
External venting system may be clean but how about the internal venting system?
The exhaust hoods flapper valve door freely opening and closing?
Lint filter clean? Lint filter compartment lint free?
Dryer operating correctly? Rotating drum constantly?
IMO, lots of conditions and factors to consider well before you begin "tearing it apart."
Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the most likely possible problem may be. They will need the make, model and serial numbers. Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts and problem resolving matters. Dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.
Be sure the electrical power to the appliance is turned off, before attempting any repairs or services. Always check for gas leaks whenever moving the appliance and/or a service or repair includes any connection of a gas part.

First read temp. with vent tube connected to back of dryer than disconnect tube and than read temp. If more than 25 degrees different you have vent problems. Dryers run 150 to 160 at back with a clear vent. If that is alright check to see if flame is coming on stays on for a few minutes than stay off for extended length of time. More than 2 minutes, that could be gas coils. Let us know what happening. Read all of Sharp tips they are good ones.
