I am hoping for some help from the experienced and experts out there.
I have an old (25+ years) WESCO electric heater. The fan does not go on when I set the thermostat to "heat" and the fan to "auto". I hear a hemming sound coming from the furnace and I see the heating element turn red but the fan does not blow. After a few seconds of this, the humming stops and the heating element red glow cease.
What could be the problem? The thermostat, or the sequencer? I would like help with step-by-step of replacing a sequencer. Some imagery illustration would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Jon

Does the blower work if you switch the thermostat fan switch to On? Have you just replaced this thermostat and now have this problem? If this is a new thermostat did you move the selector switch or jumper (back side or internal) from the gas/oil position to the electric position?
