Hello all! I am new to the site, just wanted to ask a quick question. I have formica/laminate kitchen cabinets. I am re-doing them with that Cabinet Rescue. Along with that, I am putting some trim on them to make them not so "blah". My question is this: what type of glue should I use to attach the trim (plastic) to the cabinet (formica/laminate)?

Contact cement usually works well on laminates and plastic.

The solvent in contact cement will dissolve some plastics...not all.

I would use a clear silcone caulk, such as DAP 100% silicone rubber sealant.

It will hold the trim and give you a little "wiggle room" for adjusting the fit. Contact cement allows no room for error..

Thank you Debbie, I tried it on a scrap piece, and it did melt it. But thank you for the reply.

George, I will try that tonight. Thank you also.

BTW, I am an electrician, well I was, no I estimate. But if anyone has questions, I will do what I can to answer. Beer 4U2
