What is the best material to use to replace kitchen cabinet drawer bottoms? I can slide the old ones out of the drawer after removing som staples.

Most are something like 1/8" plywood or hardboard. If it has side mount slides, hot gluing a reinforcement bracket under the bottom could help. I've done that with furniture drawers, not kitchen cabinets.

Check the size of the grooves. If they're 1/4", I'd suggest masonite, which can be painted before installation. (it usually comes dark brown).

If the slot is large enough to accomodate this, it will give a very strong bottom - much less likely to bend or collapse.
