Hi,
I just upgrade my DSC PC1550 panel to PC1616. No surprise, I needed a new keypad, which cost more then the panel.
every thing is working fine now....except the 2 DSC MN140C smoke detectors, were fine with the PC1550 but no with the PC1616. Here is my questions:
1. Can I use MN140C with PC1616?
2 If so, what is the zone type [07/08]?
3. Should I connect it to the PGM2? if so, what type should be program?
Thanks,
Benjamin

Yes, they should work. They are a basic 4 wire smoke. Follow the wiring and programming suggestions in your installer manual for the new system. You will need to change the end of line resistor to one of the 5.6KΩ ones that come with the new control.
