:madhell: I got new piston rings and piston
I got a new spark plug
I cleaned my carb, and it still wont start
Im getting pretty made at the moment, i dont have any kill switch so that cant be the reason but it just sounds like it wants to start, but wont kick over. what should i do?

Have you confirmed that you are getting the magic three things an engine needs to run: fuel, fire/spark and compression.
Fuel: Here is the stupd question; does it have gas? Are you sure the carb is working properly? Do you smell gas from the exhaust? Is it flooded?
Fire: Have you removed the spark plug and laid it against the engine with the spark plug wire attached and turned the engine over to make sure you are getting spark at the plug?
Compresson: Have you done a compression or leak down test? If you don't have the guages how does the compression feel/sound?

If you locked up the engine by putting gas in the spark plug hole, you have put way too much gas in the cylinder.
Take out the spark plug and lay the bike over on its side to drain the fuel out of the engine. Then, with the ignition off, kick the engine over about ten times with the throttle held wide open and choke off.
Then put the plug back in it, hook it up and see if it will fire. If not, pull the plug and add only a teaspoon of gas to the cylinder, put the plug back in and try to start it with half throttle and no choke.
Post back with how it goes.

Here is a simple solution, and will most likely solve your problem. I have three motorcycles in my garage, and this has proven to work every single time.
Empty the carb if the bike is going to sit for a few days. And as far as the choke, I have the time down to a science now. I come home for lunch everyday, and if my lunch runs a little long, say 1 hr and 15 minutes, I have to use the choke. If I cut the lunch to an hour or less the bike will start up without using the choke. As far as the hard starting goes, remember the shut down procedure and you'll never have a problem guaranteed. http://kawasakiforums.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif
This is the original thread for hard starts. http://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_96672/tm.htm (http://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_96672/tm.htm)
Here is the basic information.
Shut down procedure.
1. After riding as you are pulling into your driveway, or to speed things up you can do this a block from your house, turn off the gas.
2. Let the bike run until it actually dies from gas starvation, (this may take 2-5 minutes) But that's ok it will give you time to put away your gear.
3. Park it and now you're ready for the next time you ride whether that be in a day, or a month.
Start up procedure.
1. Turn on the gas
2. Wait for 10 seconds
3. Start the bike as you always do

Yes that was a copy and paste from over threes years of trying to help others, and it will work for you. But lets try and get your bike started. You said you cleaned the carb, how long has the gas sat in the carb since you cleaned it? If its been a week, then you need to drain it (shut off the gas and open up the drain screw on the carb) then close the screw, open up the gas, and give it a shot. Let us know what happens. Trust me I know of what I speak. ;)
