I'm pulling out the carpet in our house so that we can put in engineered hardwood flooring. The carpet is over the concrete slab, so when I pry off the tack strips, each nail is breaking up the concrete around it, leaving a small divot. Do I need to fill those in? Engineered wood flooring will be glued to the concrete. It seems to me that the divots are small enough that it wouldn't affect adhesion of the flooring planks to the slab, but I wonder if there is something I'm overlooking?

You will be ok to leave them as is. If they are fairly large though, they sell small pails of concrete patch in the home centers.

Small holes no problem. Make sure you floor is flat,dry and clean. Grind high spots and fill low ones.
