My kids were playing with a dry erase board and got the dry erase cleaning solution on my wood kitchen table. I tried to clean it up but it left a big shiny spots on the table. How do I get that shiny spots to go away?

Dry erase cleaner is basically alcohol I believe. That would dissolve any wax you had on. Why not just spray the whole thing..or use a cleaner and make it all the same.
If its solid wood (oak or similar) I used to use alcohol and 0000 steel wool and then follow up with something like Formby's Almond oil. Bee's wax rubbed on would probably be good as well.

that would be my suggestion as well....if its unsealed wood or a paste wax..then clean the whole table and refinish how you like...i tend to lean to a matte finish poly finish
