I have a Vista-20se alarm system and I disconnected 2 motion sensors by just cutting the wires. Now the control panel says "Not Ready". I can still arm the system.

How can I get the system to ignore these motion sensors?

Thanks,
Peter

connect the 2 wires that run to the motion detector that are NOT POWER wires.

chances are the red & black supply power to operate the unit/s

there should be green & white or yellow- these should be the zone wires for the motion detectors- connect them. if the montion detector/s are still on the wall, install the 2 wires in one of the screw connections. If you have a resistor included- it needs to go across the 2 wires.

Thanks for your help. That worked perfectly! Just connected the green and yellow wires together, I'm so glad I came across this forum.
