Hello everyone,
We have just moved into a rental house which has high-quality fitted carpet throughout. However, we brought 3 large area rugs (approx 8'x10') with us which we have unrolled and laid out in various rooms as we are worried that keeping them rolled up won't do them any good over several years.
The rugs are slipping and wrinkling on top of the carpet, but when I researched double-sided tape to secure the edges my concern is that the adhesive could permanently mark the fitted carpet, which would be unacceptable.
Any suggestions, other than paying out $100+ each for rug pads designed for rug-to-carpet? I'd hate to spend that much money...
We already have full-size rug pads for hardwood floors from a previous house - could they work on carpet too? I'd appreciate some advice!
