I have a slate backsplash in my kitchen that was never sealed. How can I get grease stains off of the slate?

are the grease stains in the grout or tile? most tiles themselves should never be sealed or "waxed" over...just seal the grout..any quality degreaser with a scubbie should work...just stay away from acidic cleaners they can damage slate..

let the degrease dwell on the surface wet for 10-15 mins scrub and then rinse..if its in the grout clean it with a mildly aggressive wire brush..let dry and then seal
