Our subfloor, 3/4 inch plywood, is not totally level. In one spot there is a high joist causing the floor to slope about 1/2 inch in 5 feet to the wall. The joist is about 12'. I plan to put 1/2" plywood underlament ,patching the gaps and nailheads, and put an adhesive enhancer. Will the floor hold up with no leveling? If I must use a leveler should it be on the subfloor or underlayment?
Thanks, Karl

Welcome to the forums! Adding 1/2" underlayment to an existing problem won't solve the problem, only enhance it. Is there anyway to correct the offending joist? Your flooring may be flexible enough to take the change in elevation, but you will always be able to see it.
