Our Maytag dishwasher is 5 years old and never a problem until now. It activates on its own, and won't shut off. I suspect that the control panel is faulty, since I can't feel the contact switch depress. In fact, none of the surface buttons seem to be depressing, which is in and of itself depressing.
I could order a new panel and pick it up when I'm in the US next week, but I'd like to have some level of comfort that this is indeed the problem.
