hey guys,
I'm working on putting in a basement bathroom. I have to put down some leveling compound to even the floor out.
Before I did this I want to know the best way to insulate and/or vapor barrier the concrete? Maybe something that can go down first then put the leveling compound on top? I don't have much height, so thickness is a concern.
It will be tiled and I may put down electric radiant heat.

I used some of that dimpled plastic membrane before. I'll have to check on the height specs. I'm tring to add as little height as possible.
I'm also going to look into that RedGuard that is mentioned in the other post. I know it says not to be used on engineered floors, but I'm laying tile.

so anyone have thoughts on the Redcoat product. I've read different litearature, but can't pin down if it is a good fit for my application? Does it have any insulative properties?
