Hello,

We purchased a home that had/has an ademco system installed. It used to be covered by ADT. We never received any manuals or code for the system because the purchase was through a holding company. It consists of sensors (fire too) a metal box downstairs, and a 12-key control pad on the first floor.
By way of notes on the control box, it apparently had two (a green and a blue) fobs.

The system used to work, kinda. We would get chimes if we were in the basement (motion detectors).

Then we had a power failure, a bad one that also fried my fridge's relay... and the chimes would not stop. So our solution was to unplug the box downstairs.

I would like to retrofit this system with something that does not require me to replace all the sensors. I would also like to add a wireless control box to our 2nd floor bedroom. I am not interested in a monitoring service. Am I restricted to Ademco brand? Will I need to replace the board downstairs, or can I get/set the code from it somehow? Any recommendations?

Thanks

Nevermind.

We have a vista 10SE.

I'll start a new thread.
