I have two Whirlpool dryers that are not working.
One will run for a minute and then shut off, let it sit for a few minutes and you hear a click and then it will run again.
The click comes from the back of the unit and not the control panel.

The other one will only come on when the timer knob is in different positions and not at the beginning of a cycle.
I am assuming it is the timer.

any help greatly appreciated.

Please post model #'s of both dryers, Are they both electric? The second one sounds like the timer is bad. 1st one does the motor stop or does it quit heating?
