Hi All, I have managed to tear out my bathroom and am in the process of remodeling it. I have a design in mind and want to check with y'all on what you think of the layout.
The tub is a 5'x3' whirlpool drop in and i have already run the supply lines and drain to the area. The vanity is a 60"x22" furniture style.
How big do I need to make the enclosure for the tub? I want to make it as small as possible as we dont have a whole lot of room in the bathroom as is. I'd have gone for a standard curtain tub but my wife thinks they are ugly.
On the faucet side of the tub I will be building a tile inset wall thing with shelving for shampoo/etc, and to allow the shower head to not have to stick out 19" to get to the tub.
The thing next to the toilet will be a linen cabinet (built in).
Any recommended changes before I start replacing the subflooring/etc?

Not sure if you have already torn out walls. A standard tub is usually 60", so you will need a larger opening. Consult instructions for your tub as to rough in dimensions. I assume you already have the tub, but they do make 60" whirlpool type tubs. An inset storage spot is always a nice touch, but sometime hard to keep clean, and keep leak free. Special attention to grout and caulking.
