Hi there,
I have a Hotpoint Side by side refrigerator and it is just over a year old and the galvanized steel fork in the back of the freezer which turns the auger that ejects the ice is not turning. I can turn the fork easily with my hand and it is loose and is not turning the mechanical wheel/or making contact. It appears that I just need to tighten this Fork and it will regain contact with the mechanics and turn the auger - however, I can't figure out how to tighten it. Suggestions help!?
Thank you,
Gabe

I think the nut is left hand thread so you may need to turn it left to tighten it.

Hi there,
Thank you for the information, I will definately try to turn the auger to the left to tighten it. I do not see a nut however? could it be behind it? Also, do you know where I could find a diagram of this Auger/icemaker?
Thanks again,
Gabe
