I'm having a terrible time choosing a color for my kitchen sink. We're remodeling the kitchen. It's 12x12 with an L shape countertop. The counter is formica in the "blackstar granite" color, which is basically black with peach and tan flecks (shiney like granite). The cabinets are oak. The appliances are almond with black facing. The kitchen faucet is an old-timey black with a slight amount of copper around the edges. Floor is clay tile.

I bought an acrylic sink in a copper color at the suggestion of a coworker, but it's over powering!!! I'm taking it back and not sure if I should go with a gloss black, granite composite black or almond. Any suggestions???? Also, any opinions on the type of material...acrylic vs cast iron vs granite composite?

Desperate in VA!!

Hi janem68, welcome to the Forums

Check the Kohler website,
Kohler Kitchen and Bath Fixtures and Faucets (http://www.us.kohler.com)
they have several tools to help you with the model / material selection, as well as color options

According with your description of the counter and cabinets I'd suggest one of the following colors
--> Biscuit (-96)
--> Mexican Sand (-33)
--> Sunlight (Y2)
--> Innocent Bluch (55)

You list almond or bisque as one of your choices. Depending on how far you have gone with the remodel, consider a Karran undermount sink for laminate. They are only available in white or bisque, but really look fantastic.
