We are in the market for a Smith Brothers of Berne 5000 series Grade 2 leather sectional (RAFCS;ARMLSO;LAFCHS) and are being quoted approx. $8,000 OTD/delivered from a full commission sales person.
#1...is this price a reasonable one to pay in this economy (Michigan) and

#2...if so, could we possibly squeeze in a chaise ottoman (CHSOT) without both parties walking away from the table unnecessarily?

Any comments on Smith Brothers construction in general would be greatly appreciated also; as they seem to have a unique product that (seemingly) is built to last.

It is amazing to witness these well established furniture retailers heavily advertise these (supposedly) big sales in these HUGE showrooms...and you're the only one in the place on a good business night.

I honestly don't know how they do it in some of these high profile locations.

Thanks in advance! :)

(btw, it is very difficult to get any information on this brand or comparison shop the different models in it; as they do not even provide dealer info online...let alone any details concerning the product itself)

Ended up @ a place called Riverpark Furniture outside of South Bend. Nice Mom and Pop in an old neighborhood; decent pricing; good people and a better feeling that we made the right decision by going with the SB product (also saved a thousand dollars).
