I was wondering if anyone knows of a good resource to find contractors? I have been looking online and all I have seen are sites where you have to describe the job then wait to get called from a contractor or if I find a directory type of site there is a limited number of contractors in my area, but I know there are many more. I am trying to build my first house and I was planning on hiring all the contractors so I need a good resource to find them. Something with reviews and article would also be very beneficial, please let me know if anyone knows of a good place to look.

Hi hadan, welcome to the Forums!
In the first page of the DIY website you will find lots of links--> write your postal code and you will find professionals in your area.
However, IMO, the Internet is not the best resource to find a contractor. Sometimes, the reviews are fake.
Go to the place where you are going to build and look for houses under construction--> contact the owners and ask directly for the name of the contractor and their experience with him (this is an usal practice).
A good and direct reference and the possibility of see the contractor's work is the best option. In addition, as he's already working in the area, his costs for your house will be lower
