My Kenmore 90 series washing machine won't spin. If I give it a helpng hand,rotating the drum by hand ,it will begin to spin.This happens during heavy loads of clothing(jeans,towels).Thank you for any response.

Lean machine back against wall and look under it. look at sides of cabinet, If there is a streak of oil about 6 inches from bottom you need a gearcase, clutch and coupler. Oil leak out of gearcase and gets on clutch and causes your problem.

if you dont see any oil remove the agitator and check to make sure the drive block is not stripped out.
