My dryer model # is GGW9250PW3. It is 3 years old. I get an intermittent (very intermittent :wall:) buzzing noise from somewhere on the burner assembly. The sound is not a rattle from loose dryer parts but a low warning or notification buzz.

I have read the other related threads and performed all the necessary and suggested tests and fixes listed in those threads.

My unit needed a complete and thorough cleaning as well as a clearing the vent of all dust. Airflow is now not the issue here.

The flame sensor and high limit thermostat have been replaced. The thermal fuse and the thermistor both check out OK.

The only issue I found was during the gas valve test. The two terminal coil (p.n. 694540) tested to have a resistance of 1320 Ohms between terminals #4 & #5. (spec is 1220 Ohms +/- 50 Ohms). Would this issue cause the buzzing sound?

Hello Lemont and Welcome into the Gas Appliances topic.

Possible but not likely a solenoid is making the humming and/or buzzing sound. More likely to be the gas control valve.

Suggestion would be to first replace the two solenoids located on top of the gas control valve. Not a difficult do it yourself repair nor expensive parts to replace either.

Should or may solve the problem. If not, then a gas control valve would be the next likely solution. Unfortunately, in this instance, replacing parts may be the only possible solution.

An on site service tech would not have to attempt a fix in the above manner. Being on site and hearing the humming and/or noise would more accurately indicate the problem. Such is not the case here, so parts replacement may be the only option.

Another suggestion might be to check with a service tech and/or parts sales rep at a local appliance parts store. They often have first hand experiences with such problems and can offer additional possible causes and solutions. Might be worth a try....
