Hello, thanks so much for any and all comments. I have a 3-sided no-vent gas fireplace. I am replacing the original tiles and at a loss for how to adhere tiles to the metal top section. The old tiles were not applied with thinset, it appeared to be some type of glue. There were serveral "dab" areas on each tile and then pressed to the metal. It appears to be a fairly light in color, sorta tan. I first thought it was mirror mastic but I really don't know.
I can't seem to find any adhesive for this type of installation. The area does get hot, so whatever it is/was must be able to withstand heat. Anyway, what do I use for this area?
