I noticed small hairline cracks in the grout that lies between the tiles on the wall. The tiles have an 1/8 in. gap at the most. So what I did was add new grout over the existing grout. Now the new grout is flaking off. My question is: Is there anyway to remove the new grout to expose the old grout again? I appreciate any advice. Thanks

Yes, of course you can remove the old grout.

Utility knife, grout saw, putty knives, Fein Multimaster

tool.C. & E. FEIN GmbH - Der FEIN MULTIMASTER (http://www.fein.de/fein-multimaster/us/en/media/multimaster_video.php?vidname=muma_05)

If I understand your question, you are wanting to remove the new grout that you applied over the old grout, yes? Question, what kind of grout did you use originally, that it was cracking?
Give exact manufacturer and product.
