Mr Ron,
I have a DSC 8-Zone LED Keypad - 5508Z panel on my alarm system and I want to reprogram the "stay" and "Away" functions to:
"Stay" - *9 (code)
Away - (code)
(as I have no motion detectors in the home. All windows and doors have sensors and all windows (will soon) have break sensors and a camera system.)
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Ummm, those are the factory default settings for those keys.
5508z is the _keypad_ model. What is the system model?
Is this a new or existing install?
Do you have your installer manuals and installer code?

I looked for the model number but do not know where to look.
I have the user very basic user manual and the programer code.
It is an existing system but I am the first home owner.

Find the metal box with the battery and the main circuit board. The system model will usually be on the wiring diagram glued to the inside of the door.
