I'm installing a bypass humidifier HE225B1004 and connecting it the hot water line from my water heater. My question is can I use a filter on the Hot water line to remove minerals and such? Is it needed?
The humidifier is going on the return duct.

I did a search and could not find any answers.

A filter is not needed for the hot water line..

Most of the minerals will "fall out" of the water in the water heater.. (that's why they say home owners should flush the water heater ever year)
