A little over a year ago I had to have a 3ton goodman heat pump installed in my 1400 sq. foot home. At the time it was installed I had no intention of turning my back porch into living space. Well, now its living space and its added 320 sq. feet to my home. Now I'm needing to heat and cool the addition but due to concrete pad its on, duct work connecting to my existing unit is not an option (going into the attic isn't either). The addition has three sides to the elements so heating and cooling is probably going to be a little tougher. I've already got it wired for a split unit, but never got one. Now I'm tired of having it boxed off all winter and am ready to get a unit. I'm wanting a good quality with a good seer rating. It looks like prices have been down alot since I was looking at the units last year. What size unit should I be looking at getting taking into account my existing unit and the square footing of the addition. There is only a small doorway leading from the addition into the rest of my home so circulation is not that good. What do you think?

I would look into a good ductless system. I put a Mitsubishi heat pump in to serve my third floor (one 290sq ft room) and I love it. We have also installed dozens of them over the years and I have never had an unhappy customer with one.
