I am trying to install a 600a on a 15 year old York Stellar Plus gas furnace. From what I've read, furnaces this old often do not have HUM, EAC, or ACC terminals. Does anyone know if the York Stellar Plus has them? I'm thinking of using the 24V transformer included with the humidifier and connecting it to the 110VAC on the exhaust blower. This would be an easy install, and then only power the 600a when there is a call for heat. Any problems with doing it this way? If this is not a good idea, any suggestions would be aprreciated. Also, even though the humidifier only powers up when there is a call for heat, doesn't the digital humidistat need continuous power? How is this accomplished? Thanks, Tom

What's the full model # on the furnace?

did you look to see if there was a HUM or ACC on the board.

If nothing, then mount the transformer to the J box (power coming into the furnace) and that wires up the R and C.

Then W/G is wired to W on the furnace t-stat's wire hook up, and Cf to C on the furnace.

The furnace is a York Stellar Plus High Efficiency Gas-Fired Furnace (model #P2UDD12N07601). I could not find a HUM or ACC, but I am not even sure I am looking in the right place. Is the board located below or above the blower deck.

I understand your additional instructions. Wiring the 24V transformer to the main power should be straight forward. I also found the t-stat connections that call for heat. If this furnace does not have a HUM or ACC, these connections seem that they will work. The only question I have here is that the 600a calls for 24VAC, but these terminals are reading ~32VAC when hot. Is that okay? Thanks, Tom

You will be OK, some area will have higher reading than others.
