Hey ya'll, New guy here and I should have looked for a place like this a long time go. Anyway, I have an issue on my hands.
I am wanting to put lights in a couple of my bedrooms, and the ceiling is the first place i think of putting them, but the air duct is right in the center of the room in the ceiling. Any ideas of what kind if lighting to go with since I cant go with the most obvious place, the center of the room? I can think of the obvious track lighting off to the side of the room in the ceiling and possibly some wall sconces, but thats about all I know of. Any other ideas? Maybe pros and cons as well? Thanks.

Perhaps you can install can lights down the sides where the duct isn't.

I seconded that idea. Four cans would light it up nicely.

I put recessed in the living room, and was probably going to do it in the master. I was trying not to go with recessed in every room of the house, but if thats really the best option... There is already a fan in the master with a light fixture, so I dont have to put them in there, but if I do recessed in one spare room, then I feel like I have to do it in the other spare bedroom cuz its them same in there... air duct in the center of the ceiling.

We do lots of homes with recessed cans in all the rooms. IMO it is really a good way to put light in a room. Weather it be for general purpose or accent. I don't think you can ever go wrong with cans.
