My hubby recently installed an acrylic tub which looked great. He then decided to clean the lime build up in the toilet bowl and under the rim. He scrubbed it with a plastic toilet brush using Limeaway but did not rinse it and then put it in the tub.

To make a long story short when I picked up the brush there was a brownish-red stain left where the brush was placed. Nothing I'ved tried has removed the stain. I've asked in other forums about suggestions for stain removal and nothing works.

Hubby says we'll probably have to have the tub resurfaced. I'm wondering if anyone here may have a suggestion for a product that may work to remove the stain before we go to the expense of resurfacing our new tub?

Thanks so much!

they always suggest to rinse the cleaners off of any surface right away after use...it sounds like the acid has damaged the wear layer of the tub and may need redone
