I have an Ademco 4110 Alarm system. One of the Zones stays in a not ready condition. I really thought that the problem was a related to a door that had been replaced a while back. However, it appears that the door switch is closing properly. I checked a couple of windows next to the door and they did not seem to work. Is it possible for just one of the zones in one of these controllers to go bad.
What is the best way to test this to determine if this is the problem.

Pull the EOL off and land directly to the panel.

Yes, try closing the zone with a 1000 ohm resistor. If it doesn't close, you have a problem.

Yes, it's not super common, but zone open failure on aging (or lightning struck) Ademco panels is not unheard of.
