I'm moving into a new home with ceramic tile on kitchen floor and counter top. Does it need to be sealed and if so, do you seal entire surface or just grout lines? Also, which product should I use?
Thanks

Hi! Welcome to the Forums!
Clean the grout real good, then apply a sealer, like 511 Impregantor (HD sells it).
No need to seal ceramic tile, just the grout lines.

Do I have to be precise, or will a little sealer on the tile surface be ok?

It will not harm the tile at all. Just take a cloth and wipe up any excess.

I used it this past week on grout lines. Just use a sprayer set on stream and try to hit the grout line. It won't hurt to get it on the tile as it won't absorb anyway. Wait 20 minutes and do it again. I found, however, after the 20 minutes, once I sprayed it on, it rolled off, so the initial coating was good.

Can I apply with a sealer with a brush or sponge?

A brush would be better. A sponge would just soak it up and not apply it.
