HI, not being too happy with my alarm company, we pulled the plug on each other.
Left behind are a Vista20p – 6150rf – 6160 kp and various sensors. Since they locked me out, I intend to replace the Vista20p with a new board and ship the old one back one resistor at time. Long story.
My goal is to replace the vista20 and use the rest of the stuff. After reading this post, I think I can tackle the job.
Question – Since the Vista20p is locked, will I be able to use the 6150rf with the new Vista20 or is that locked also?
Question – There is a 2 wire heat sensor, can I add smoke detectors on the same zone?

Thank you PRO1 TECH, I take that as a yes I can use the Keypads. The heat sensor is on Terminals 8 - 9 Zone 1. I would like to use the heatrise sensor and add smoke detectors.

Question 1 yes
Question 2 what zone
After spending 3 days and late nights setting up the 5816 xmitters with the 6150rf with no luck, I found there were no batteries in the 5816's. I thought you might get a kick out of that :wall:. Anyway, its all good now.
One more question. Setting up Stay and away.
A- How do I setup so my glass break sensors are not active on stay mode only.
b- there is one interior door (hardwired -leading to the basement) that I would like a delay before the noise starts on stay mode only.

In both cases it's about choosing the right zone type.
Set the glass break as type 04 (interior follower).
The door is trickier: you can use type 10 (interior w/delay) and add it to the night/stay zone list.
