I was in my basement this morning and i noticed my dehumidier frosting over ,i mean icing over, so i unpluged it. Does that mean its done for or do i have it set to run too much? any input would be appreciatted. thanks.

It's still "winter", and I see you are in Ill. I'd say the air is too cold for you to run the dehumidifier.

Jay is right dehumidifiers are not for use in heating seasons. To much RH in winter is a sign of not enough ventilation. Turn the dehumidifier off and increase ventilation.
