If anyone could please help I am completely confused on wiring the my furnace to the control module and control module to the thermostat. I would like to humidify independently with just the furnace fan but I do not know if this is possible without a sail switch or does the furnace have one built in. I also would like to be able to use the furnace to dehumidify in the summer. If someone could please guide my wiring I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

You won't need a sail switch to control the humidifier.

Between the t-stat (touch screen) and EIM only 3 wires are used.

1-1
2-2
3-3

Then,

EIM--------Furnace.
R's----------R
Y1-----------Y--------A/C
G------------G
W1-----------W1
W2----------W2
C------------C-----------A/C

Dehumid.

Add a jumper from one of the R's down to DHM1, then DHM2 to Twin/Dhumid on the furnace.

Humidifier.

EIM-----TrueSteam
Hum-----Hum
Hum-----Hum

let me know if you need help with the IAQ's installer set up menu.

In the installer set up...

0374 Humidifier fan action
0 Humidify only while fan or heat is on
1 Humidify forces fan on
2 Humidify only when heat is on
3 Humidifier operates independent of fan

OK. I am humidifying but I have a problem. The humidifier will call for the fan and it will run but when the heat kicks on the furnace starts making a whining noise from the combustion air blower motor. The original wiring had the w1 and w2 connections on the furnace jumped together but now they are separated going to the EIM. Could this be the problem.

Do not think I am second guessing here because I appreciate all the help but someone else replied on another forum regarding this configuration:

Ok I think I see whats wrong. The interface is taking over some of the duties of the furnace...The ONLY things that should run from the furn cir bd to the EIM is

Furn EIM
--------------------

W1 to O/B

W2 to AUX

Y to Y

--------------------
Furn G goes to truesteam GF

No R or C connects from the furnace to the EIM

Are you using the separate Transformer as shown or the furnace on board transformer?

IF you are using the furnace transformer, then you would have an R to R and C to C from the furn.

G goes to the true steam GF and from Truesteam GT to EIM G

Shouldn't be the issue, but who knows. Did it go away when you undid the jumper?

The Gf is not needed.. Just Hum and Hum to the EIM. (wired as shown on page 16)

No R or C connects from the furnace to the EIM
You need power from the furnace and Common wired up for the IAQ/EIM to work.

Then IAQ installer #374 set to 1

Sounds good. The noise seemed to start when I took the jumper out. I think the jumper was just there because I had a single stage thermostat if I am not mistaken. But since I have the visionpro IAQ I do not need to jump this on my furnace correct? Maybe it is just coincidence or it just seems loud with the top door off and I just did not notice it before.

no, the jumper is no longer needed.. The t-stat will control the stage, rather than a fixed time (or maybe on full stage, and not taking advantage of the full comfort)

Things will be louder with the top cover off.
