I'm going to be painting the paneling in our living room. Prior to paint, I need to re-nail some joints that have loosened over the years. My question is this: what is the best way to nail/best type of nail to use for this.
I have a framing nailer, finish nailer, and a brad nailer. Which one?

Try a hammer,some paneling nails and a nail set.

Panel nails have a small head and are ribbed to prevent what is now occuring.you can use the nail set the last couple of taps to prevent damage.

Of the nailers you have, none. Use a narrow crown stapler, or the method mentioned. One manual, the other fast. You will have a larger head to fill with the stapler, but it won't come back out.
