I am refinising an oak coffee table with a burled oak veneer top. The legs and sides have moldings which create a lot of crevices. I have done most of the sanding. What I want to do is leave the top unstained and stain the rest "Sangria" red. My question is, can I leave some of the old stain in the crevices to give ti an "old" look.
