I have a customer wants me to tear out her old floor. It's ceramic tile, laid on top of 1 inch thick cement sheets re-enforced with steel mesh.
Problem is she wants to leave the cupboards in place. They're nice cupboards and she has a granite counter that I don't want to start messing with.
So question is how to tear out the old tile without destroying the cupboards in the process.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You're obviously not a tile setter, maybe a handyman? Tell her to hire a real tile setter so that there will be little or no damage done to her house.
Yikes, cement sheets with steel mesh. :wall:

Hey everyone, if the homeowner had asked that question, "It's ceramic tile, laid on top of 1 inch thick cement sheets re-enforced with steel mesh." I would have explained or asked more questions. BUT, when it's someone doing work for a customer, I wanna call the Tile Police and ask to see a license.:alarm: :D
