I am tiling a bathroom floot and when the toilet was removed I noticed the flange around the toilet plumbing was completely shot. I have found a hinged metal ring that can be fitted arounf the neck of the toilet plumbing, but will this possibly create problems for me?:confused: I am going to chisel out for the toilet bolts and plan on using a wax ring with the plastic extension in it.

it depends on how bad your flange is and the type of ring you are refering to and how you plan to install it
