Just wondering if the LYNX had a bypass feature like other systems where I can bypass a particular zone if I didn't want it armed at that moment. I need one motion in my basement to stay on unless I go down there which is only to tan a couple times a week. I would like to keep the system on while I am down there because it has a sliding glass door and 3 windows. On the other hand when I am not down there I would like the motion to be armed in just stay mode while having the option to have it not armed in stay mode when i am down there. If I put it in zone 3 it will always be armed. Zone 4 it will be armed in away. So a bypass would be great if it had one. The only bypass I seen in the manual was the forced bypass which I don't know would work. If I have that motion in zone 3 could I use the forced bypass for that zone when I go down there and the system is in stay mode?

Forced Bypass
0 = no forced bypass
1 = provide automatic bypass of all open (faulted) zones
All zones bypassed by this function will be displayed after the bypass is
initiated.
Note: UL installations: must be 0 (no forced bypass)

If you are asking what I _think_ you are asking, yes, you can add zone back in with the same keystokes as a manual bypass.

Put the motion in as zone type 4.

Don't know if I understand you.

What I am asking is; I will have a motion downstairs and 3 upstairs. I want the one downstairs armed all the time unless I go down there which would be once a day to tan. I would still like for the doors and glass breaks to be armed during that time though.

I want it to be armed in stay sometimes and not armed in stay sometimes.

So if I put the one downstairs in zone type 3 it will be armed at all times and I will have to cut the alarm off before I go down there. If it is in zone type 4 it will only be armed in away, which mean my other motions would be armed, which I do not want.

I know a GE panel has a bypass feature that you can bypass a certain zone if you didn't want it armed at the particular time. So if I put the motion downstairs in zone type 3 it will be armed in stay as a perimeter unless I use a bypass feature. Is that what the forced bypass in my above post is for?

Ok, I found it.... Thanks for your help though... I can program it to Zone type 3 and when I want it not armed enter code+6, then enter zone number to be bypassed....
