I pulled up some new (2-3 years max) self-stick that was laid over a vinyl sheet floor in my entryway. The tiles were the longer, wood-look (yeah, right) self-stick. The glue that they've left behind is a pain!

I started with WD-40, and that worked on the places with lighter glue residue. But on the tough stuff, no dice. I used a plastic scraper and was able to get some of this stuff to curl up with that, but it seems never-ending.

Following other online tips, I've used soapy water, soapy water with ammonia, nailpolish remover (with acetone), and I'm stumped. It seems like this stuff is never coming up. Do I just have to keep doing it repeatedly? I'm stuck, for real!

flooring stripper will work well...just dont overdo it and lossen surrounding tiles

a heat gun at a safe distance and your scraper may work
