I have a circuit with an outlet on the end, fl light fixture between that and singel switch. I wired the switch with two blacks wires to switch. Capped white and white. Capped ground and ground. Everytime I place switch in ON Position it trips the breaker. Any clue as to why?

Hi Hampton, could you try that description one more time, and include number of boxes, wires in each box and where the power comes in?

Are you saying the power comes from the breaker to a switch then to the light?
When the switch is turned on the breaker trips?
