We are preparing to remodel our 1960's kitchen but due to what the previous owner did, we are stumped. We currently have a dishwasher next to the sink (all work great), but we think that they cut down a wall to add more room to the kitchen. There is a little mini wall next to the dishwasher/cabinets but they didn't do a good job at all. There is a gap between the "wall" and the dishwasher and it looks like they did a rush job. We plan on either replacing or refinishing our cabinets as well as purchasing a new countertop. The problem we have is that there is no cabinet to the right side of the dishwasher (right now there is just this bad "wall"). There isn't really room to add more cabinets unless it was a really small one. If we don't add a cabinet to the right side, what can we put next to the dishwasher to finish it off? I've been reading about "end caps" but I'm not sure if they apply here. How would I install something to the end of my dishwasher - attach to the wall behind it?
