Have purchase old building with tin (metal)ceilings. Paint is peeling. Stripping loose paint off with airhose. Need to repaint. Question: is there a special primer to use on the ceiling and what paint would be good to finish product?

Try using Sherwin Williams PREP-RITE ANCHOR BOND PRIMER. I would use something a little more aggressive then just removing the loose paint with an air hose.

Thanks for the reply. Actually the air hose method I used was an air compressor used for jack hammers. Very high pressure. But you bring up a good point. What else could one use to remove paint from tin ceiling? Because ceiling is indoors and I have hardwood floors, I can not use water powerwasher. Scraping would damage tin ceiling. I have just over 2200 sq ft of ceiling to do. Any suggestions to strip it would be great !!!
