I'm a new homeowner, purchasing a newly constructed townhome. It will be completed this April. It's sort of weird that there is no door separating the en-suite master bath from the bedroom. You can see the shower and sinks. The toilet is in it's own room (so there's a door for that which is good). I'm concerned about privacy and getting ready in the morning if my significant other is sleeping. I can understand why they didn't put one in because it is tall and a standard door wouldn't fit there. I hope I can get some ideas or suggestions. I know a curtain might work but maybe there are other ideas I haven't thought of. Any advice?

Here is what the entrance looks like. Here is what the entrance looks like. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/ellenmae/IMG_7549.jpg" width="650" height="400"/>

Also, sorry if this is in the wrong forum..I think it's part of "design". I'm very new to all of this.

Hi ellenmae and welcome to the Forums
(yes, this is the right forum) :D

I saw this situation before (no-door between the master BDR and a part of the master BR) but never including the tub. I agree with you that it is very odd. And you need to solve this, not only for privacy issues--> each time you'll take a shower, your BDR will be full of steam!! (and for sure you don't have a fan there). In this context and thinking in the steam, a curtain will not solve your problem

A door installation will be complicated because you need to set a frame and the vanity is too close to the opening

Consider a frosted tempered glass door (or a set of two). A border matching the walls' color will blend it with the master BDR
Something like this (sorry, I did the picture too bright but I wanted to show the idea with the BR interior...;) )

Hope this helps!
