I have an aprilaire 760 thats not working , I have 120 volts to unit and 24 volts comming out, so the fan and and circuit board seem to be working , I have resistance across the water coil so that seems to be ok, when I disconnect the humidistat and connect the two brown wires to gether the fan runs and the water solenoid opens and water runs thru the unit and drains, so all that seems correct,so now i've narrowed down to the sensing relay and the humidistat. now my sensing relay is hanging on ( metal around) the white neutral#2 wire from the furnace circuit board, is this correct,and i'm getting 5Mohms between the stat wires disconnected from the humidifier . any help would be appreciated.

Make two wraps of the white wire around the relay, and see if that helps.

What is the make and model of the furnace?
